This estate edition art-print is simply called:- “Blue Meanie”
Ron Campbell explains, "Depicted here is a charming image of a bizarre creature from the feature film “Yellow Submarine” for which I animated many scenes.
The image is, of course, the much-loved villain Blue Meanie enigmatically licking a rose. Why? Who knows. The brilliant character design was by Heinz Edelmann who added the crowning glory, a Mickey Mouse hat atop the Meanie’s head.
We didn’t really mean for the Meanies to frighten so many little children. Or so we say..."
This piece of artwork is approximately 7" x 10" with hand deckled edges. It features a printed signature and estate seal.
