Cartellone comments, “I wanted this painting to capture Ringo’s vantage point during The Beatles’ legendary rooftop performance in January 1969…and have it portray what it felt like to be Ringo in that historic moment. It took me a full year to paint this, with painstaking attention to detail. Every little thing you see, from the marks on the drumheads to the brick and mortar pattern were captured exactly as they appeared.
