Ringo performed last night in Rancho Mirage (outside of Palm Springs). The afternoon temperature was 110 degrees….but as everyone says….it’s a dry heat. The concert was video taped for a future live DVD release.
Heard a great story from Ringo’s Eugene, Oregon show….
Ringo makes his escape from each venue during the last song so he can beat the crowds…while the band is performing and taking their bows during “Give Peace a Chance”, Ringo has already left the building. Anyway….his car was taking him out of the Eugene venue when it passed a couple of fans walking to their car. Ringo unrolled the window and yelled over to them…”Why did you leave the show early…you’re missing the last song.” Ringo’s car sped off before the stunned couple realized that it was Ringo. Very funny!
